Campbell Sees Small Population Growth
Campbell's total population grew by 0.8 percent from 2010-11.

Campbell grew by 301 people from 2010-11, according to census reports released Friday by the California Department of Finance.
The report, which uses the as a benchmark, shows Campbell growing from a total population of 39,363 in 2010 to a total population of 39,664 as of January 2011, a 0.8 percent growth.
This number may change in a year with the addition of housing developments at (40 units), (21 units) and (four units) as well as with the latest proposal of 26 units at 125 So. San Tomas Aquino Rd.

The report released Friday also showed that California has 37.51 million residents as of Jan. 1. The state grew by almost 287,000 new residents in 2010.
The report includes 481 California cities, of which 442 had gains in population, 32 lost population and seven experienced no change.
