In Santa Cruz, they pass laws to get rid of street musicians, or limit them to only an hour in a location.
In Campbell, it's arms wide open, as some great guitarists and singers gather regularly outside the Orchard Valley Coffee to hang out and play.
"They even built a farmer's market around us so we can play Sundays," jokes Larry Green, 61, who played acoustic covers with Steve Tickes, 63, in a free session that turned into a gathering of musicians and talkers Wednesday.
