Canadian Geese in Campbell Elicit Many Emotions, Ruffle Some Feathers

Yesterday, we posted the "Pic of the Day" of a group of Canadian Geese at Los Gatos Creek Park and the response on the Campbell Patch facebook page was great!

Campbell Patch joined in on the conversation and here's what Campbell residents on facebook had to say about the water fowl:

• Carmen Yepez Man do they poo! My two year old rushes out on the fields there near the ponds and I pull a Homer Simoson every time. D'ooh!
• Campbell Patch Tell me about it! I had to wash my sneakers off afterwards because there's just no way of avoiding it all!

• Heather Malamisura I hate those miserable, obnoxious, LOUD, filthy pieces of crap. It's too bad they're protected by international treaty.
• Campbell Patch Wow Heather! I hear a lot of passion behind those words. Anything in particular tick you off about them or pretty much everything? I can see where you're coming from though. One of them came up to me and started hissing!
• Heather Malamisura I live right behind the percolation ponds. Those miserable creatures live out there and they honk all day and all night. I thought that birds slept. Not these $#*&!! They honk at noon, at 3pm, at 9pm, they're still honking at midnight, at 3am, at 5am. ALL DAY LONG. You can't keep a window open at night because they're so loud. And there's nothing you can do about it because they're "Protected." They are lucky that they are. I love animals, but would happily exterminate those things myself.
• Erika Perreault They also like to visit the neighborhood schools and leave droppings all over the field. Eeeewwww.
• Erika Perreault On the plus side, I love it when they fly over my house in the morning and wake me up. A natural alarm clock. Heather-I feel for you. I'd hate it 24/7!!
