Earth Day at the Retro Dome
The Retro Dome celebrates this day with a Xanadu performance to benefit Happy Hollow Park & Zoo.
It's Earth Day, and The Retro Dome is celebrating by honoring Happy Hollow Park & Zoo's efforts to "greenovate" one of Silicon Valley's beloved family destinations.
"We've been fans and partners since we opened," says Shannon Guggenheim, co-owner of The Retro Dome and Xanadu's producer/choreographer/performer. "As we were looking for someone to benefit from our audience's generosity tonight, we thought we'd help continue their efforts."
The effort was sprung late, so there are no advanced promotional codes for individuals to apply to their tickets—so donations will be done "by the turn of the hat," Guggenheim says.

She's optimistic the turnout will be a good one and hopes the crowd will be as generous as times past.
"We had a similar night, benefiting the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, and the crowd donated $800 at the end of the night," Guggenheim says.

Donations will be accepted at the end of the show. All forms are accepted, although checks and cash are best, she says. Credit cards will be accepted, but there is a small fee.
The box office opens at 7 p.m., with seating at 7:30 p.m., and all are reserved seating. Tickets are $44 for general admission, $34 for students, seniors and military, and $24 for children.
Xanadu! performances continue through May 8, Fridays and Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m.
