East Bay Man Accused Of Sexually Assaulting San Jose Boy
Police allege the suspect arranged a meeting on an online chat app and drove the underage victim to an empty parking lot.

SAN JOSE, CA — An East Bay man is accused of sexually assaulting a boy after using an online chat app to meet up with him in San Jose.
Police on Wednesday identified the suspect as Alfonso Ramirez, 53, of Livermore.
The investigation began on New Year's Eve after a minor said he was sexually assaulted by an adult man. Detectives with San Jose's Internet Crimes Against Children/Child Exploitation Detail Task Force took on the case and determined Ramirez met the victim online and arranged a meeting in San Jose, according to the authorities.

Police allege he drove the boy to an empty parking lot where the sexual assault occurred.
Detectives secured warrants last Thursday and arrested Ramirez in San Jose on suspicion of sexual assault of a minor. The Livermore Police Department executed a search warrant at Ramirez's home.
