SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CA — A portion of state Highway 236 in Santa Cruz County was shut down by a fallen tree, the California Highway Patrol said early Wednesday morning.
A 60-foot tree and some fallen wires blocked the highway's lanes in the area of Acorn Drive near Boulder Creek, the CHP's area office in Santa Cruz said on social media around 5:10 a.m.
There was no estimated time of reopening immediately given. The public is advised to avoid the area.
