Glass Injures Girl From Shots Fired Through Vehicle On I-680: CHP

SAN JOSE, CA — The California Highway Patrol is investigating an evening shooting incident Tuesday of Interstate 680 in San Jose.

A vehicle was traveling southbound on I-680 near King Road when a shot was fired that went in through the left rear window and out the right front window, the CHP said.

Nobody was struck, but a 12-year-old girl suffered cuts from shattered glass.

From reports, the shots came from a vehicle that was traveling alongside in the same direction, but there are conflicting reports about what kind of vehicle that was, a spokesman said.
