Hot Bed in Campbell Was Put Out By Fire Department

A fire at a single family home was put out by Santa Clara County Fire Department.

An early morning fire on June 18 left a Campbell home with about $500 worth of property damage, but about approximately $2,500 worth of contents lost.

The Santa Clara County Fire Department received the call at 5:22 a.m. and 11 engines were dispatched to 81 Kennedy Ave.

According to the fire report, there was moderate amounts of smoke coming out of the front of the home, and some smoke was noted coming from the rear. The fire was extinguished with minimal water.

"It was a bed, or mattress that had caught on fire at the residence," said a fire spokeswoman.

The cause is still undetermined.
