​Man Arrested For Armed Robbery In San Jose: Police

Another suspect is currently unidentified and outstanding, according to police.

SAN JOSE, CA — Police in San Jose arrested a man suspected in at least one armed robbery, the department said Thursday.

On Jan. 24 at about 1:30 p.m., officers responded to an armed robbery at a residence in the 80 block of East San Carlos Street. According to the alleged victim, two men brandished guns at him and stole thousands of dollars. The victim fled the scene and notified police.

Detectives believed that at least one of the suspects was allegedly involved in another armed robbery at the same location on Feb. 1.

An arrest warrant was issued for Yonatan Petros, 19, of San Jose. Detectives also obtained a search warrant for his residences in San Jose and San Leandro.

Petros was arrested on March 13 and a search allegedly uncovered an unregistered firearm.

Petros was booked into Santa Clara County Main Jail on suspicion of armed robbery and assault with a deadly weapon.

The other suspect is currently unidentified and outstanding, according to police.
