Naked Man Struck, Killed By Box Truck Crossing I-280 In San Jose
CHP closed down three southbound lanes of the highway near McLaughlin Avenue for three hours Thursday morning.
SAN JOSE, CA -- A naked, homeless man in his 40s was hit and killed on southbound Interstate Highway 280 near McLaughlin Avenue in San Jose Thursday morning, the California Highway Patrol said.
The man identified as Harris Ahmed was reportedly running across lanes of traffic before he was hit by a box truck at about 8:40 a.m., according to the CHP. The truck swerved after striking the man and consequently hit two other vehicles.
The CHP issued a Sig-alert and closed down three lanes of the highway for over three hours. The alert was lifted and all lanes reopened at about 11:15 a.m.

The crash is under investigation and no further information is available. The Santa Clara County medical examiner's office will identify the man once his family is contacted.
