Man Who Exposed Himself On Bus Arrested, Sheriff's Office Says

The suspect was booked into jail on suspicion of indecent exposure, battery, and an outstanding warrant for burglary.

Man Who Exposed Himself On Bus Arrested, Sheriff's Office Says

SANTA CLARA COUNTY, CA — Deputies in Santa Clara County arrested a man suspected of lewd acts on a bus who was caught on surveillance footage, the Sheriff's Office said Saturday.

On June 11, on Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority bus in San Jose, the suspect stood inches away from a woman and exposed himself before walking to the front of the bus and continuing his lewd behavior next to the driver, the Sheriff's Office said.

The suspect assaulted the driver with his hand before exiting the bus near South King and Tully roads in San Jose.

The Sheriff's Office released footage and images of the suspect in the hopes that the public could help identify him, and community tips led detectives to San Jose resident Carlos Cruz Varela, 28.
