Monterey County Man Sentenced To 70 Years For Child Sex Abuse
The victim told authorities the abuse began when she was 4 and lasted for seven years.
A 55-year-old man was sentenced Thursday to 70 years in prison for repeatedly molesting a young family member over several years, the office of District Attorney Jeannine M. Pacioni announced.
Pedro Quezada was sentenced on Nov. 20 by Judge Rafael Vazquez after a jury convicted him on Oct. 17 of 11 counts of forcible lewd or lascivious acts on a child under 14, prosecutors said.
All charges are violent felonies and count as strikes under California's Three Strikes law. Quezada must also register as a sex offender for life.

Prosecutors said the victim, identified as Jane Doe, told authorities that Quezada abused her on numerous occasions over a seven-year period beginning when she was about 4 years old. She testified during trial that she delayed reporting the abuse for more than a decade because she feared him.
