Motorcyclist Killed In SJ Big Rig Clash On I-280 Identified

The biker was splitting lanes when he fell off his motorcycle and fell into a lane, CHP reported.

SAN JOSE, CA -- A San Jose man was identified as the motorcyclist killed on Interstate 280 when he was run over by a big-rig Wednesday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Victor Uvalles, 35, was splitting lanes just south of Race Street at 3:15 p.m. when he fell off his motorcycle into the third lane, according to CHP Officer Ross Lee.

A double-trailer rock hauler ran the man over in the third lane and he died at the scene. Lee said it's unclear why the man fell off his motorcycle before the collision.
