NC Man Arrested In 2023 San Jose Home Invasion: Police

Police said the U.S. Marshals arrested the man in Georgia, and he was extradited to California to face charges in San Jose.

SAN JOSE, CA — Authorities in San Jose have taken custody of a North Carolina man accused of participating in an October home invasion involving three other suspects, officials said Friday.

Police said Stefan Dila, 37, of Charlotte, was arrested by the U.S. Marshals in Georgia on Feb. 23. He was recently extradited to California and booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail.

According to police, three suspects broke into a home on Story Road on Oct. 27, stealing cash, sensitive information and other items before escaping in a vehicle driven by a fourth person.

Investigators in January identified three suspects in the case as Selena Milaichce, 35, of Anaheim, Xicmena Mihalaiche, 34, of Anaheim, and Dila. Milaichce was arrested in December for an unrelated incident in Los Angeles County, and a third woman has yet to be identified.
