Patxi’s in Campbell, Palo Alto Host Make-A-Wish Fundraisers Today
San Jose locale will feature surprise "servers" from San Francisco 49ers.
Patxi’s Pizza in Campbell and Palo Alto are donating 10 percent of sales proceeds today -- Monday -- to the Bay Area chapter of the Make-A-Wish.
In San Jose, meanwhile, Patxi’s Pizza has partnered with the San Francisco 49ers for a Make-A-Wish Foundation fundraiser at the eatery at 3350 Zanker Road from 5:45 p.m. to 8 p.m. today.
Five members of the team will act as servers to the diners at Patxi’s San Jose. They will “work” for tips, all of which will go to the Make-A-Wish foundation.
Patxi’s will also host a Make-A-Wish family to enjoy the event as a special treat.
Patxi’s will donate 20 percent of all sales during the San Jose event to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, doubling their normal 52 Weeks of Giving donation percentage.
All are welcome to attend this event, dining is on a first-come first-served basis, no reservations.
Aside from serving delicious classic Chicago-style stuffed pizza and authentic Italian thin crust for the past 10 years, Patxi’s Pizza (pronounced pah-cheese, ‘t’ before ‘x’), has been most proud of serving each community of which they are a part.
Co-founders Bill Freeman and Francisco “Patxi” Azpiroz started the 52 Weeks of Giving program in November 2010 to structure all of the fundraising every store was doing in each community.
To date, the program has raised more than $440,444 for partner organizations with that shared mission. To see more, click here.
