Safeway Employee Shot To Death Near South Bay Store: Police
Police have not identified a suspect, but said that the victim and the suspect were involved in an altercation before the shooting.

SAN JOSE, CA — A Safeway store employee was shot to death early Sunday morning in San Jose, according to the San Jose Police Department.
The incident, the city’s 14th homicide of the year, occurred in the 1500 block of Hamilton Avenue — the block where the store is located — around 3:35 a.m. The adult male victim, whose name was withheld pending confirmation of identity and notifying next of kin, was found by police with at least one gunshot wound and pronounced dead at the scene.
Police did not specify whether the shooting took place inside or outside the store.
