Santa Clara County Shutters Multiple Roads Amid Ongoing Storms

The County of Santa Clara's Road Maintenance crews are working to reopen impacted roads.

SANTA CLARA COUNTY, CA — A series of ongoing storms has triggered widespread road closures in Santa Clara County due to mudslides, flooding, and downed trees.

The following Santa Clara County roads were closed as of Tuesday:

  • New Avenue is closed from Leavesley to Buenavista due to wires on road
  • Mt. Charlie closed due to tree down with power lines
  • Idylwild closed due to tree down with power lines
  • Gist Road is closed due to tree down with power lines
  • Bear Creek Road is closed due to two slip outs
  • Castro Valley Road is closed from Santa Teresa to Hwy 101 due to flooding
  • Frazer Lake closed at Hwy 152 to the San Benito County line due to flooding
  • Uvas Road closed from Watsonville Road to the Uvas Reservoir boat ramp
  • Bolsa Road is closed from Hwy 25 to Bloomfield due to flooding
  • Bloomfield Road has been closed from 152 to Frazer Lake due to flooding
  • Black Road is closed from Thompson to Skyline due to mudslide
  • Santa Teresa Blvd closed from Highland to California due to flooding
  • Calaveras Road closed - Felter Road to Alameda Co
  • Mines Road closed - Del Puerto Road to Alameda Co Line due to two washouts
  • Sierra Road closed - Skyview Drive to Felter Road due to slide/storm debris
  • Mesa Road closed from Santa Teresa to Hwy 101 due to flooding
  • Mt. Madonna Road (Dirt Section) is closed from 1.75 miles east of Redwood Retreat Road to Summit Road in Gilroy
