Sex Offender Suspect Arrested For Acts With Minor

The suspect, Douglas Le, 27, of Campbell is on parole for crimes he committed as a high school teacher two years ago.

CAMPBELL, CA -- City police arrested a known sex offender who is suspected of engaging in illicit acts with a minor.

Campbell detectives discovered Douglas Le was having a relationship with an underage victim through his app page called "Grindr." Le is on parole for similar crimes he committed as a Gilroy high school teacher in 2016.

He was booked into Santa Clara County Jail on charges of sodomy, contacting a minor for sexual purposes and arranging to meet a minor for sexual gratification.

The Campbell Police Department applauded "the victim for coming forward and encourage others with similar encounters to do the same," spokesman Gary Berg said in a statement.
