SAN JOSE, CA — Police in San Jose have arrested a suspect accused of shooting at another driver in an apparently random attack on Halloween night.

Investigators identified the suspect Wednesday as Isaiah Overstreet, 19, of San Jose.

Police allege Overstreet was driving near Peach Court and 24th Street when he shot at the car in front of him unprovoked a few minutes before 10:30 p.m. Officials said both victims were uninjured.

The alleged shooter fled the scene, and the case was handed to the Assault Unit where detectives worked over recent weeks to identify the suspect.

With help from the Covert Response Unit, investigators moved last week to take Overstreet into custody in Colma. Police said a search of his vehicle and home revealed a loaded, privately-made gun, with multiple rounds of ammo and a compensator.
