Suspect Arrested In Woman's April Killing: San Jose Police
According to police, the shooting suspect was arrested in North Carolina last month and transported back to San Jose on Friday.

SAN JOSE, CA — A man wanted in connection with a woman's April shooting death in San Jose has been arrested and was recently extradited back to the city, according to police.
Officers were called to the shooting scene at North 4th Street and East St. John Street on April 26 to investigate reports of an injured woman. Officers found an unconscious victim with at least one gunshot wound, and medics rushed her to the hospital where she was pronounced dead. The medical examiner's office identified the woman as 54-year-old Sonji Conerly.
Police said an unidentified shooter fled the scene before they arrived.

The homicide unit followed up on the case and identified a suspect in the shooting, who police identified Monday as Myron Barrier, 61, of San Jose. Investigators said the U.S. Marshals arrested Barrier last month in Greensborough, North Carolina. Detectives in San Jose transported him back to the city Friday and booked him into jail.
Police said the motive and circumstances of the shooting remain under investigation.
