​Third Suspect Sought In Violent Armed Robbery In San Jose

Two of the three suspects were identified as Joseph Rico, 39, of Mountain House, and Julian Lomeli, 20, of Stockton.

SAN JOSE, CA — Two men suspected in a March armed robbery that injured the victim and robbed him of thousands of dollars' worth of property were arrested in San Jose but police are still looking for the third suspect, the San Jose Police Department said Thursday.

On March 23 at 2:30 a.m., officers responded to an armed robbery in the 70 block of Phelan Avenue. According to police, a man was walking in the area when a vehicle approached him. Three adult male suspects exited the car and brandished firearms. The victim wrestled with one of them and was shot.

The suspects took off with $40,000 worth of items from the victim.

Two of the three suspects were identified as Joseph Rico, 39, of Mountain House, and Julian Lomeli, 20, of Stockton.

Rico was arrested on May 22 in Mountain House and Lomeli was arrested in Stockton, police said.
