SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CA -- Watsonville police officers serving a high-risk search warrant Wednesday morning not only nabbed a known gang member, but also a dangerous weapon that he was illegally in possession of.
"While our entry team was clearing the apartment, we did locate an attic space in the ceiling. There was a duffel bag that appeared to have been recently shoved into that attic space," Police Sgt. Mish Radich said. "When we pulled it down and opened it, the assault rifle was found inside that duffel bag."
