Kids for Peace, a Carlsbad-based nonprofit, is hosting “Peace, Tolerance & Butterflies,” a program to honor San Diego Holocaust survivors and memorialize the 1.5 million children who died in the genocide.
Guests include San Diego Holocaust survivors and Congressman Bob Filner. The project, created five years ago to memorialize Jewish children seeks to create 1.5 million ceramic butterflies in their memory. Attendees will work on the butterflies together.
