Have Questions About Life or Carlsbad? Have Answers? Here's a Place to Meet and Greet

Sharp-eyed readers may have noticed the new Q&A button atop the home page.  The curious and courageous have clicked on it.  Now it's our turn to explain it.

Q&A is a new feature of Patch local news sites across the county (12) and country—about 350, heading to 500 by the end of the year. This is your chance to ask a question about anything—whether it's where to buy the best hamburger in town or why they call it Carlsbad Village.

A few questions are now posted, including "Who mixes the best drinks in Carlsbad?"

The other side of the coin is answers.  If you see a question that falls into your area of knowledge or expertise, or you just have an opinion, jump in and post a reply.

This is supposed to be helpful, informational and educational, but not political and personal. So watch what you ask. Be mindful of how you answer.

These apply to all postings on Carlsbad Patch, including comments on stories. (Editor's note: Everyone has been great about comments so far on Carlsbad Patch.) Boiled down, they amount to three main policies: "Keep it clean," "Don't try to trick people" and "Treat others as you'd like to be treated."
