• Motorcyclist Dies in Hospital After Highway 101 Collision With Truck (noozhawk.com) — A 27-year-old Santa Barbara motorcyclist has died from injuries suffered in a Dec. 5 collision with a work truck on northbound Highway 101 near Padaro Lane, just north of Carpinteria. The crash shut down northbound lanes for about 90 minutes that morning as emergency crews responded and investigators documented the scene, affecting commuters traveling out of Carpinteria toward Santa Barbara.
