Disneyland to Fans: #ShareYourEars to Raise Funds for Make-A-Wish

Disney will donate $5 to Make-A-Wish for each photo people shared on social media platforms with that hashtag wearing Mickey ears.

Disneyland and the Make-A-Wish Foundation are teaming up to raise money for the organization that fulfills the requests of ailing children, by encouraging social media users to take pictures of themselves wearing Mickey Mouse ears.

Disney will donate $5 to Make-A-Wish, up to $1 million, for each photo shared on social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter or Instagram that use the hashtag “ShareYourEars” and features the subject wearing Mickey’s or any other creative form of ears.

The event coincides with the 100,000th wish involving Disney fulfilled by the foundation, as well as Disneyland’s 60th anniversary.

The Anaheim theme park will also sell collectible 60th anniversary “Ear Hats” bearing the inscription, “Wishes Really Do Come True.” The park will only have 7,500 of the hats for sale, and all of the profits will go to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
