Former Dodgers Outfielder Milton Bradley to Appear in Court

  1. A hearing is scheduled Thursday morning in a Van Nuys courtroom to determine if former Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Milton Bradley has enrolled in anger management and domestic violence programs. Bradley was ordered to enroll in the programs in connection with his misdemeanor convictions for attacking his estranged wife. Bradley was sentenced to more than 2 1/2 years behind bars, but is being allowed to remain free on $250,000 bond while appealing his sentence.

  5. The ultraviolet index level for today in the Los Angeles area is 10, according to the National Weather Service. The reading indicates what the UV exposure is expected to be at noon, when the sun's rays are at their strongest. A very high exposure level reading of 10, or greater, means a fair skinned person could suffer a sunburn in about four minutes if not protected. Ultraviolet radiation is blamed for a host of health problems, including skin cancer and cataracts.
