Burglars Flee With More Than $35,000 in Apple Computers from Valley Christian Middle School Overnight

Burglars broke into Valley Christian Middle School in Cerritos overnight, stealing 30 iMacs from the campus' computer lab.

Detectives today are searching for the burglars who stole more than $35,000 in Apple iMacs from  in Cerritos sometime between Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning.

A school employee who discovered the emptied classroom on the campus at 18100 Dumont Ave. reported the break-in just before 7 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 30, said Lt. J. Deedrick of the .

"The burglars appear to have broken into the school's computer lab overnight and stole approximately 30 Apple iMacs valued at $36,000," Deedrick told Patch, adding that the thieves gained entry into the classroom by breaking a window.

No suspect information is available at this time and the theft remains under investigation, he said.
