Thousands Turn Out for Independence Day Celebration in Cerritos
The city's 38th annual Let Freedom Ring celebration draws thousands to the Civic Center grounds.
Thousands came out to celebrate the Fourth of July at the City of Cerritos’ 38th Annual Let Freedom Ring Celebration.
Cerritos residents and members of neighboring communities spent the afternoon enjoying live music, games, food and rides at the event, which was held on the Civic Center grounds. Portions of Bloomfield Avenue and 183rd Street were also shut down to accomodate the gathering.
The festivities culminated with a spectacular aerial fireworks show at Cerritos High School, located just across the street from the Civic Center. Spectators set their chairs on the center lawn while others simply set up shop along the sidewalk on Bloomfield Avenue near Heritage Park.
