Torrance Man Killed in Fiery Crash Near South Street Freeway Offramp in Cerritos
Ted Chang was killed in the accident that took place about 12:20 a.m. Wednesday.

A Torrance man was killed in a fiery single-vehicle crash today on the South Street offramp of the southbound San Gabriel River (605) Freeway in Cerritos, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The accident was reported at 12:23 a.m., said CHP officer Anthony Martin.
Ted Chang, 57, died at the scene, said coroner's Assistant Chief Ed Winter.

According to a preliminary CHP report, Chang was driving a 2000 Infiniti "at an undetermined high rate of speed'' when it veered off the offramp and struck a palm tree. The offramp was closed for about three hours while an investigation was conducted.
