Michael Fishbach thought he was just going out for a leisurely cruise on the Sea of Cortez, but a normal day quickly turned when he came across a struggling Humpback whale near death. This video entitled "Saving Valentina: A Humpback's Tale" shows incredible footage of the whale being freed of from a deadly gill net in the Sea of Cortez. Though it seems the amazing creature is expelling desperate cries, it appears to understand that the humans are there to help. After being freed, the whale show its appreciation by breaching at least 40 times -- a beautiful thank you to those who saved her life.
