In Effort To Kill Spider, CA Man Starts Apartment Fire
A man in Redding reportedly displaced an apartment building full of residents after he tried to kill an itsy bitsy spider with a torch.
REDDING, CA -- Note to self: Do not try to kill a spider with fire. That is the lesson a Redding man learned last weekend after he reportedly started an apartment fire when he tried to torch an itsy bitsy spider.
The Record Searchlight reported that the fire happened in downtown Redding when a man tried to kill the eight-legged creature. The creepy crawler was torched, but so was the mattress and the rest of the bedroom.
"The residents tried to put the fire out with a garden hose, but were unsuccessful, fire officials said. The fire caused about $11,000 in damage, officials said," the Record Searchlight reported.
