Man and His Dog Stabbed While on a Walk this Morning; Attacker Fled on a Bicycle
Man and his dog stubbed behind and apartment complex while out for their morning walk this morning in Citrus Heights.

A man and his dog were stabbed in Citrus Heights at approximately 10AM today, attacked while out on a morning walk.
PD responded to the 7400 block of Auburn Oaks Court, after the suspect, described as a white male his 50’s, 6’ 5”, muscular build, and a shaved head attacked them near the back of an apartment complex.
Both victims sustained non-life threatening injuries; the male was transported by ambulance to a local hospital and animal control responded to the scene.

Citrus Heights Police PIO, Bryan Fritsch, reported, “The suspect attacked the victim while he was walking his dog, the victim fought back during the attack and possibly injured the suspect.”
The suspect is still at large, last seen leaving the area on a bicycle. Investigation into the circumstances surrounding this incident is ongoing. Citrus Heights Police are asking anyone with anonymous tips or information regarding the incident to please call (916) 727-5500.
