• New coffee shop to close, after brief stint in Citrus Heights (citrusheightssentinel.com) — A locally owned coffee shop in the Marketplace at Birdcage is closing its Citrus Heights location on Dec. 21 after just a few months in business. Black Sails Coffee Lounge says space issues prevented a long-term lease there, but the owners are already exploring new locations in Fair Oaks or elsewhere in Sacramento County, so regulars may not have to say goodbye for long.
