CLAREMONT, CA — Claremont Craft Ales walked away with a bronze medal in the strong red ale category at the 2021 Great American Beer Festival in Denver on Sept. 10.
The brewery won for its “Happy Days,” an imperial red ale that previously won medals at the 2018 and 2020 festivals. The beer beat out 47 other brews in order to earn the number three spot, according to the festival.
“We are beyond honored and feel so grateful for the amazing community that supports us,” the brewery wrote in an Instagram post.

In another post, the brewery said “Happy Days” was created almost nine years ago, and "took tweaking and adjusting to get it just right."
"Brian [Seffer, the head brewer,] named this beer after his late grandfather who would always toast at family dinners," to happy days," the brewery wrote.
