Rep. Judy Chu celebrated the opening of her satellite office in Claremont Wednesday.
Her new office, located at 415 W. Foothill Blvd., will serve as an effort to provide better outreach to residents in the East San Gabriel Valley, she said.
Chu's district expands as far as Pasadena, Altadena, San Marino, Arcadia and South Pasadena in the west to Monrovia, Glendora and Claremont in the east.
"We will have this outpost here and welcome you to come and express your points of view," said Chu.
Representatives from the cities if Glendora and Claremont presented Chu with plaques to welcome her to Claremont.
