1 Dead, 3 Injured In Brentwood Gym Shooting
One man in his 20s was pronounced dead at the scene, and the three others brought themselves to hospitals, police said.
BRENTWOOD, CA — One person was killed and three were injured in an early-morning shooting at a Brentwood gym early Thursday, police said.
At 1:55 a.m., officers from the Brentwood Police Department responded to a 24 Hour Fitness gym on Lone Tree Way after reports of a shooting.
According to police, a fight broke out on or around the gym's basketball court and moved its way to the gym's parking lot, where at least two people opened fire, based on surveillance footage.

One man in his 20s was pronounced dead at the scene, and the three others brought themselves to hospitals. Police said they did not receive calls about the shooting until the three injured people were already receiving treatment.
Lt. Walter O'Grodnick said detectives are still trying to piece together whether those who were injured were involved in the fight, based on surveillance footage and witness statements.

One suspect is detained, but no arrests have been made, O'Grodnick said. He added that this is an isolated case.
"There's still some unanswered questions and we're still in the early stages of this investigation. There's a lot of work to be done," O'Grodnick said.
