Armed Robbers Break Into Concord Jewelry Store

CONCORD, CA — Investigators in Concord are looking for several unidentified suspects after a group of thieves armed with hammers broke into a jewelry store, according to police.

Officials said multiple people wearing hoods and masks entered Valliani Jewelers inside the Sunvalley Shopping Center around 6:10 p.m. Monday. According to police, the suspects used the hammers to shatter glass display cases and several pieces of jewelry before fleeing in two vehicles.

In a social media post Tuesday, police said no further details about the suspects or vehicles were available, and the investigation remains active.
