As of 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, it had raised $60,515 of its $50,000 goal.

Clayton Valley Charter High School's director of curriculum and instruction Alison Bacigalupo confirmed the medical emergency occurred at the school.

"The facilities were, at that time, being used by Clayton Valley Athletic Association, the organization for Jr. Eagles Football and Cheer," Bacigalupo said. "CVAA is a youth sports organization similar to Little League but for different sports - football and cheer. The child this happened to does not attend CVCHS and was enrolled in a local middle school."

"My understanding is that the event was not football-related," she said.

According to the Clayton Valley Jr. Eagles Instagram page, there was a prayer vigil for the minor Saturday evening at The Grove in Clayton.
