Concord Announces Date For Tree Lighting, Mayor's Sing-Along
The City of Concord starts its holiday season with this annual event at Todos Santos Plaza.
CONCORD, CA — The City of Concord is preparing to kick off the holiday season with its annual Tree Lighting & Mayor’s Sing-Along. The free community event is from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6, at Todos Santos Plaza.
This family-favorite event features several traditional holiday festivities, including an official tree-lighting, horse-drawn carriage rides, real reindeer, a holiday music sing-along, crafts, shopping at Santa’s Village and photos with Santa.
On-stage entertainment will be provided by the Concord High School Jazz Band and Orchestra, The Honeytones Barbershop Group, Queen of All Saints Children’s Choir and Cheerleaders, Westwood Elementary Children’s Choir, D’ann’s Academy of Dance, and The 925 Band.
The official tree lighting is set for 7:30 p.m. and will be live-streamed on the City of Concord’s TV channels—Comcast channel 28, Astound channels 29 and 1026, U-verse channel 99—and the City’s YouTube channel.
This year's event sponsors include Trumark Homes, MCE, Realm Real Estate, Todos Santos Business Association, and The Makers Boulevard.
Also on Dec. 6, Visit Concord is hosting a “Sip ‘n’ Stroll” through downtown Concord restaurants and establishments with treats and drinks for guests ages 21 and older. Tickets cost $20 per person and include food and beverage samples from participating businesses.
