CONCORD, CA— Moms do so much for everyone around them. We try to celebrate them all year long, but Mother's Day is a perfect opportunity to shout it from the rooftops and post it on Patch: Mom rocks!
Here at Patch we've launched an initiative to help recognize the awesome moms and mom figures in communities like yours.

What makes your Mom extra special?
She is there for everyone needing her advice. She is very creative and has so many talents — art, music, puts on plays. She is a heart transplant recipient, going on 19 years, lost a baby in childbirth, divorce survivor, multiple types of cancer etc. yet, she is there to help others with mental health issues and so much more.
Why do you feel your Mom deserves the spotlight?
She is such a special friend and a truly wonderful mother. No one I have met compares to her. She always has a smile and seems upbeat ... Everyone loves Carol!
