Suspects In Concord Parking Garage Shooting Charged

Contra Costa County D.A. charged two suspects in the triple shooting Tuesday night on Salvio Street in downtown Concord.

CONCORD, CA — The Contra Costa County District Attorney Office charged two men suspected in a triple shooting that happened Wednesday night in a municipal parking garage in downtown Concord.

Three men with gunshot wounds were dropped off at about 10:20 p.m. at John Muir Concord Medical Center by friends and told authorities they were shot while in a parking garage in the 2000 block of Salvio Street.

Units with the Contra Costa County Sheriff's Office arrested 23-year-old Erickson Melendez of Concord and 31-year-old Justino Lopez-Perez of Bay Point.

In connection with the shooting, the district attorney charged Lopez-Perez with attempted murder, conspiracy, discharge of a firearm from a vehicle, assault with a firearm, and use of a firearm enhancements. The office charged Melendez with conspiracy and discharge of a firearm from a vehicle.

The three shooting victims are expected to survive.
