De La Salle Lacrosse, St. Vincent De Paul Provide Thanksgiving For 100
It was the 13th Thanksgiving that coaches and players teamed up with volunteers at St. Vincent de Paul to feed the hungry in Concord.

CONCORD, CA — The St. Vincent de Paul branch at St. Francis Assisi Church in Concord teamed up with coaches and players from the De La Salle lacrosse teams and provided more than 100 food gift cards and over 100 volunteer hours to help hungry Concord families.
As a result, these 100 families — over 400 individuals — were able to enjoy a special holiday meal this Thanksgiving.
The De La Salle lacrosse teams have provided this assistance to St. Vincent de Paul for 13 years, during which time they've distributed over 1,650 turkeys, raised over $40,500 and contributed more than 1,330 volunteer hours.

Isabel Lara, leader of the St. Vincent de Paul volunteer team in Concord, said they would not have been able to extend this program to the needy without the help of the De La Salle lacrosse teams.
"Each one of the De La Salle students was fully present and kind at all times!" Lara said. "The families we helped felt welcomed, loved and cared for. On behalf of the SVdP team and the families in need, I'd like to express our gratitude to the De La Salle Lacrosse Team, the wonderful coaches, students and families who made this act of love a success."
