Lisa Schindler
Is the nominee considered an "essential worker"?:
Yes
What does the nominee do for work?:
Neonatal nurse: specialized hospital delivery and care of infants in the NICU unit (Newborn intensive care unit) at Contra Costa County Regional Medical Center in Martinez
Why do you believe the nominee should be recognized or honored?
The gift of new life is still precious and fragile. Even when our focus is on containing the virus, the hospitals are performing necessary services and operations. My friend Lisa has worked as a trusted and respected NICU nurse in the pediatric unit for 17 years. She suits up for her shifts differently now, but still goes to work at the county hospital with focus, dedication, and gratefulness for each little life she saves.
What's one thing you want everyone to know about your hero?:
Such a capable person who juggles extended family, friends, and work efficiently. Her intelligence and empathy is evident to everyone who knows her. Hearts Lisa!
Thank you for all you do, Lisa!
