'Feed the Soul' This Month With Meals On Wheels Diablo Region

CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA — Meals on Wheels Diablo Region is proud to announce the launch of its 5th Annual Feed the Soul Campaign, which will run throughout February and aim to raise $28,000 in 28 days. Funds raised will provide Breakfast Bags filled with healthy and nutritious items for food-insecure seniors in our community.

This year’s campaign is supported by generous sponsors Pacific Service Credit Union, NBC Bay Area, and Telemundo 48. “NBC Bay Area and Telemundo have been sponsors from the start, helping us deliver thousands of Breakfast Bags to extremely food-insecure seniors,” said Executive Director David Linnell. “We are also thrilled to welcome Pacific Service Credit Union as a new sponsor. Their ongoing support demonstrates the tremendous value of the Feed the Soul Campaign.”

For many seniors, food insecurity is a daily reality. Some must ration their one meal delivered by MOW Diablo Region to last all day, leaving them without enough to eat with evening medications. Breakfast Bags provide essential items such as eggs, fresh fruits and veggies, yogurt, and sandwiches, giving seniors the nutrition they need to stay healthy.

Community members can join this vital effort by making a donation during the Feed the Soul Campaign. Every gift helps Meals on Wheels Diablo Region continue its mission of ensuring no senior goes hungry.
