Library No Longer Texts Courtesy Notices

As part of a recent makeover to courtesy notices about overdue items, the library is looking into alternatives for text notifications.

CONCORD, CA— Courtesy notices from the Concord Library recently got a makeover.

Changes were effective Jan. 13 to account notification messages patrons receive from Contra Costa County libraries.

  • All subject lines start with Contra Costa County Library
  • There is a due date reminder notice indicating the item's due date
  • Patrons will receive an overdue notice if their item is past due
  • Text message notifications have been discontinued. The Library is looking into alternative solutions for text notifications.
  • Patrons still have the option to receive notifications via phone or email
  • Print notices are no longer available
  • LINK+ notification messages did not change

To update or add an email address or phone number to their account to receive notifications, customers can log into their account online, visit ccclib.org/card-renewals/ or visit their local library.

California residents with cards in good standing and less than one year expired may renew their accounts online or visit a local library with a valid ID.
