Man Found With Backpack Full Of Colgate Toothpaste Arrested: Watch

CONCORD, CA — Police arrested a man suspected of taking more than a dozen tubes of Colgate toothpaste from a Dollar Tree store in Concord.

On a video released by the Concord Police Department, the voice of a shop employee can be heard telling police that a man walked out of the Dollar Tree store on Salvio Street "with a handful of products he didn't pay for." He began walking toward Adobe Street, the employee told a police dispatcher, describing his clothes — a black sweatshirt, black pants, and a backpack.

Relaying the report, a dispatcher told police officers that the backpack was "filled with things that don't belong to him."

Police spotted a man walking through a parking lot at Adobe Street and Concord Avenue in a black sweatshirt and pants, carrying a backpack.

When officers opened the backpack, they found more than a dozen boxes of Colgate toothpaste for sensitive teeth.
