Update: Police Investigate 'Attempted Homicide' Of Man Found In Antioch Roadway
Police searched door-to-door after a man was found in critical condition in an Antioch intersection.

ANTIOCH, CA — A man found lying in an Antioch roadway overnight Tuesday is in critical condition while police investigate what led to the incident.
Antioch Police found the 59-year old, whose name has not been released, early Tuesday shortly after 2:46 a.m. at the intersection of Lone Tree Way and West Tregallas Road.
Officers said the victim appeared to have been involved in a physical altercation.

Antioch police officers provided first aid to the victim, who was transported to a local hospital.
Police blocked off the area for several hours as officers searched nearby houses and bushes.

Police originally attributed the shutdown to a traffic accident.
