Concord PD's Peer Support Dog Florie is trained to "bring a little extra joy wherever she goes."

CONCORD, CA — The newest recruit to the Concord Police Department is a furry, four-legged, and trained to be a good listener.
Florie is a peer support dog trained to help comfort officers and staff during difficult experiences, and support wellness efforts across Concord Police Department and Concord.
Florie was a contribution from the National Institute of Canine Service and Training, a nonprofit organization that trains "high-quality service and support dogs for communities in need," according to the Concord Police Department.

"Florie has already won our hearts, and we know she’ll quickly win yours too," police said in a news release. She will be with police at community events, department functions, and around town.
