Multi-Car Crash Clogs Traffic On I-680

CONCORD, CA — Injuries were reported in a multi-car collision that clogged Thursday morning's commute on I-680 in Concord.
At least one ambulance crew responded to the crash, which happened shortly before 8:30 a.m. on southbound I-680 at the Monument Boulevard off-ramp, the California Highway Patrol reported.
There were at least three cars involved — preliminarily described as a blue Toyota Corolla sedan, a gray Mercedes E43 sedan, and a dark gray or black Audi Q3 SUV — and one of the cars left the scene, according to the CHP.

The Audi initially blocked the No. 2 lane but was pulled to the right-hand shoulder.
Paramedics with Con Fire responded although the extent of injuries was unclear.
